Fitter Younger provide a unique fundrising event called the School Marathon Relay. During this strange time in which we are now living, and with Schools having to close their doors, we have come up with a slight twist to our normal event.
The Virtual School Marathon Relay will get the children of Ireland out running and being active at home during this tough time of isolation. We plan on getting 421 children to run 100 metres and one child to run 95 metres, and for their parents to record the time and take a video of their efforts.
The combination of 421 children running 100 metres each, plus the addition of 1 child running 95 metres will give us our Virtual School Marathon Relay distance of 42,195 metres. All of this will be done to raise money for Charity

We are going to use the Virtual School Marathon Relay as a fundraising event to help raise much needed funds for Charities at this extremely tough time.
We are asking the family of each of the 422 Children who take part to donate €10 / £10 via our fundraising page.
As the fundraising event will involve children from all over the island of Ireland, the money collected will be divided in two and donated to a charity in both the North and South of Ireland.
There is no set time or date for each run to be completed!! You can run at atime that suits you best.
When all the runs are finished, we will then get the final video put together using clips of each individual run.
